Being A Reporter

Today, I got a very great experience. Our Indonesian community club has a project to make a simple short video of the club itself, and this time the theme is sports. Well, it's not that I don't like the topic, but sports! I even don't do sports regularly! Hehehe...

I was asked to be, say, the mc of the 'show', and really I have never imagined myself as a reporter interviewing people in a more or less formal manner before. It's true that this is one of my dreams to be a journalist - or working in that environment. But, still, it's very hard for me to start and adapt with such role. I mean, yes, I love to talk, but I really don't have any experience in that area, especially when they recorded the session in the video.

I didn't know what to say. I was very nervous. Word-by-word flew, but sometimes it became out-of-control. Hmm... It's not that I didn't enjoy it, but I was really afraid of making people around me become disappointed.

Anyway, I just did it. I overcome my fear, and just did it the best as I could. I don't know whether they were satisfied with me or not, but the most important was that I've tried the best of me. Hope they would love it. And really thanks for the chance for me to learn!
